Building Teachers' Content Knowledge to Improve Student Learning Outcomes

We believe teachers are the most powerful "in-school factor" leading to students' success. Our program was created because investing in the development of teachers is investing in the growth of students.

What makes Mix and Math 360° different?

REQUEST A QUOTE

Mix and Math 360° was created to fill the gap between the demands of more rigorous standards and the lack of relevant professional development available to teachers focused on building their content knowledge. It has been our experience in working with thousands of teachers that most did not learn math the way they are expected to teach. Many teachers have a general understanding of best practices, but do not truly know how to facilitate hands-on learning experiences that lead to deeper understanding.

Our program differs from others in that we prioritize the growth of teachers. We always say, "we can't lead students to a level of understanding that we do not have ourselves." Because of this, we provide teachers with the necessary resources and support to deepen their own understanding of the concepts they teach so that they can better implement their curriculum and increase student achievement.

Who We Are

Since 2016, Mix and Math has been committed to providing upper elementary math teachers with professional development that builds their content knowledge and effectiveness in teaching math. The student resources created by Mix and Math are highly engaging and focus on developing understanding that lasts through hands-on work. Mix and Math serves thousands of 4th and 5th grade math teachers and students around the world.

What teachers are saying...

"I found out today that my 50 students scored the highest on their end-of-year math test than any other class in the entire district. I definitely contribute this to you. I learned what effective math instruction looks like and sounds like from you. I did everything you suggest and it paid off for those kiddos in the end.

Lyndsie D.

I had a student this year that I was considering for special services. After using the hands-on activities provided by the Mix and Math 360° program, she has shown major growth and is well on her way to being on grade level.”

Bobbi C.

I have noticed a higher level of math engagement in my students since I have introduced the Mix and Math lessons and activities into my instruction. Thank you!

Cathy B.

I have so much more confidence teaching math now! From the resources for each topic to the video session you offer, I have learned so much and grown as a math teacher."
